AI for Software Teams: Teaching Tips
The modules are organized around Scrum's accountabilities, but the course fits non-Scrum teams just fine: product managers, agile coaches, and other delivery roles do the same work and get the same value from their module. Weight the modules to the room: more Product Owner time for a PO-heavy class, more Developer time for a technical one. There are more activities than one day allows, by design; treat them as a menu and select the ones that fit your audience and timebox.
Form cross-functional teams during the Introduction and run "Identify Your Team's AI Tools" early to surface any team missing a GenAI tool or, for the Developer module, a code assistant and dev environment. The shared case study is a command-line Battleship game carried across all three role modules, with per-language starter repos at github.com/proscrumdev. Prompt activities are deliberately unscripted, so the debrief carries the learning. Verify the two "popular tools" slides before each delivery. Each module ends with an optional five-minute quiz.
