This is a five-day course designed to teach IT professionals how to set up and configure Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in a distributed environment, implement Group Policy, perform backup and restore operations, and monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory-related issues with Windows Server. The course also covers the deployment of other Active Directory server roles like Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
The course content and labs, although written for Windows Server 2022, are also applicable to Server 2016 and Server 2019. Administration of Windows Server is taught using traditional tools like PowerShell and Server Manager, as well as Windows Admin Center.
The course is mainly for existing IT professionals with some AD DS knowledge and experience who want to expand their understanding of identity and access technologies in Windows Server. This includes AD DS administrators and system or infrastructure administrators who want to cross-train in core and advanced identity and access technologies in Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, or Windows Server 2022.
