Scrum for Stakeholders: Teaching Tips

The modules build in sequence, from what Scrum is to how a stakeholder engages day to day, but weight them to the room: a leadership-heavy class wants more time in Myths and Misconceptions and New Ways of Measuring Success, while a class of BAs and SMEs wants more in The Product Backlog and the Scrum events. No prior Scrum experience is assumed, so let the early modules breathe rather than rushing to the stakeholder-specific content.

This course needs no technical setup: no laptops, dev environments, or tools beyond the courseware. Discussion carries the learning, and the class works best when attendees bring their own organization's situations into it, especially in Myths and Misconceptions and Interacting with the Scrum Team, where most rooms recognize themselves quickly. Each module ends with an optional five-minute quiz to confirm understanding. The Roadmap module lands best when attendees leave with a concrete first step, such as introducing themselves to their Product Owner and joining the next Sprint Review.
